5th graders developed their drawing skills with “Selfie” Portraits!
4th graders created these beautiful seascape collages. We explored texture and talked about foreground and background. The mixed media is painted paper and oil pastels.
Mrs. Fightmaster’s 1st grade class was learning about dynamics (loud and quiet). Here they are playing “Halloween Song”.
Recorder Day 1
2 classes have received their recorders so far. The third will see me Monday. Before leaving, they had to make some promises... The promise they will be reminded of most often is “I will not make my family hate Mrs. Dennis!” ?
All these Bullitt County students volunteered to get up early on a Saturday to sing in the District 5 Elementary Honor Choir. We are well into warm ups making beautiful harmony. The concert is at 2:00 at Okolona Christian Church.
Check out Mrs. Bodner’s 2nd grade class using shoes as instruments! We are reading rhythms and performing “Do Not Let the Bed Bugs Bite”.
Pajama Day! These are my new favorite pajama pants. They feature musical rests which indicate silence in music. The kids loved recognizing the quarter rest. They are my punny pjs! ?
I would like to introduce Lauren Montgomery. Ms. M is a music student at the University of Louisville and will be completing 2 months of student teaching here at Cedar Grove. She hopes to graduate this Fall with a Bachelors in Music Education.
