The 4th graders were enjoying singing a round to make harmony. These students are singing the Star Wars parody of “Brother John” to Mr. Whitworth.

The 2nd graders are learning how to internalize a beat. We were performing an exercise called Crazy Eights that I learned in high school marching band. All the students thought it was a game and were concentrating very hard. Thanks, Mr. Parker!
I have adapted several games into musical centers. We use centers when I want to work with a small group or when I have a substitute teacher without musical training. I usually keep my eyes open at yard sales, flea markets, and peddler malls in hopes to find some really cheap. But, if you have any of these games collecting dust in a closet, I would love to have some extra sets. I could use:
