Fall art is coming down and I realized I never posted pictures of the hallway displays. 3rd grade created texture in their owls by adding a variety of line patterns. The medium was oil pastels. I love how each owl has a unique personality.
Mrs. Cook’s 3rd graders are were feelin’ the blues today! We practiced call & response. We learned the A minor chord on ukuleles and practiced improving in la-based pentatonic. I hope you enjoy our version of a blues classic, “Boom Boom”.
Today, I left this note for each of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes. Can you decipher it? KPREP testing begins Monday!

3rd grade Stained Glass Windows
We examined the symmetry in Medieval Rose Windows. We created our own stained glass windows with tissue paper sun-catchers.
Mrs. Moore’s 3rd grade class is performing Yellow Submarine on ukuleles.
Mrs. Trent’s 3rd grade class is performing a song called Snowflakes on xylophones. The middle section features some improvised melodies by each instrument section.
